私がフォローしているYouTuberはたくさんいますが、ほとんどが映画製作やカメラ、レンズなどに関連する人たちです。

先日、あるYouTuberがYouTubeチャンネルを成功させる方法について話しているのを見ていたのですが、彼が一番に挙げていたのが「情熱」だったんです。

YouTubeに限らず、情熱を持ってやることは成功する可能性が高いと思います。そして、たとえ成功しなかったとしても、その過程で得られる経験や体験は貴重なものです。

でも、情熱ってなんだろう？

どのように定義すればいいのでしょうか。

「情熱」という言葉を検索すると、「強く、かろうじてコントロールできる感情」というのが出てきます。

この定義はいろいろな解釈ができますが、私が思うに、何かに熱中しているときは、眠れないのです。自分の中に燃え上がるものがあり、それを終わらせるまで、そして終わらせない限り、それは収まらないのです。

あなたの情熱は何でしょうか？あなたが眠れないものは何ですか？みんなが寝ている早朝に目を覚ますようなことは何ですか？

There are many YouTubers I follow and most of them are somewhat related to filmmaking, cameras, lenses, etc. The other day I was watching this YouTuber who talked about how to have a successful YouTube channel and the number one thing that he mentioned on his list was “Passion”.

I think not just YouTube but anything that we do with passion is most likely to succeed. And even if we don’t succeed, the process or the experience that we gain while doing that is priceless.

But what is passion? How do we define it? If you google the word “Passion” this is what you will get “strong and barely controllable emotion”.

This definition could be interpreted in many ways but how I see it is that when we are passionate about something it doesn’t let us sleep. There is this fire that burns inside you and until and unless you bring that thing to an end it doesn’t subside.

I wonder what your passion is? What is something that doesn’t let you sleep? What makes you wake up early in the morning when everyone is sleeping?
